Cheese Grits

Ingredients

1 cup yellow grist

4 1/2 cups water

1/2 cup margarine

3/4 pound Velvet cheese

Salt to taste

Pinch garlic powder

Directions

Combine grits and water and cook 5 minutes. Stir with wire whisk throughout the cooking time. Add remaining ingredients and continue to stir until cheese is melted. Water may be added if too dry.

Makes 8 servings.
