Beef Burgundy

Ingredients

2 1/2 pounds round steak. sliced

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

5 medium onions, chopped

1 clove garlic

1 1/2 tablespoons flour

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 teaspoon thyme

1/4 teaspoon marjoram

1 1/2 cups beef broth

12 ounces mushrooms, sliced

1 cup red wine, Burgundy

Directions

Heat heavy Dutch oven and add vegetable oil. Brown steak in small batches until brown. Add onion and garlic and cook until transparent. Sprinkle flour over meat mixture and brown slightly. Add remaining ingredients and simmer over low heat 2 hours until tender. Stir during cooking to prevent sticking. Serve over cooked noodles or rice
