This is a rustic flat alternative to a pie, like an apple pie!
3 medium Granny Smith Apples, sliced
1/3 cup sugar
1 Tbsp flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Dash salt
Nutmeg
1 pie crust (homemade or pepperidge farm refrigerated)
Fruit Alternatives: 3 peaches with the same cinnamon mixture, Or a combination of blueberries and nectarines.
Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg in a large bowl.
Dump sliced apples into sugar mixture and combine until apples are evenly coated.
Place apple mixture in center of refrigerator pie crust on a parchment-covered cookie sheet.
Fold crust over the apples, leaving a two inch vent.
Brush crust with water, sprinkle sugar on the crust.
Bake at 425 for 35 minutes.
Slide parchment paper off cookie sheet and onto a cooling rack for ten minutes.
